The Autumn Festival, called Hachiman Festival, is an annual festival of the Sakura-yama Hachiman Shrine held on 9th & 10th October. It originates from the period of the Kanamori leadership (mid-to-late 1500’s). During the festival, eleven Autumn Festival floats proceed through Kita-mach, to the north of Yasukawa Street. Marionette performances are executed on one of them. The processions are very similar to those of Sanno Festival mentioned above.
